Recently some of our team were on hand to assist Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Jamie Oliver at the The Big Fish Fight launch event outside Westminster Abbey. Hugh's Big Fish Fight campaign draws attention to the fact that nearly half of all the fish caught in the North Sea are wasted (known as discard fish) i.e. hundreds of tonnes of discard and bycatch fish wasted, thrown back into the sea under the current EU quota system. Hugh highlights the benefits of cooking mackerel which is in abundance. Mackerel is rich in Omega 3 and can be cooked in just two minutes.
